W4 Form

Please note that if you are coming under a J-1 visa for the first time into the United States you are required to claim as follows:

On line #3 - Single (regardless of your marital status)

On line #5 - One (this is regardless of how many exemptions you may have)

On line #6 - $8.00

If you are on a J-1 visa and have been in the United States less than two years, you are also to claim as above.  After two years, you may claim however, you wish.
