At Parkland, we diagnose and treat over 2,000 cancer
cases per year, treating virtually every type of cancer known from the
most common to the rarest form. Our physicians are all Board
Certified Experts in their cancer specialty and because we are a teaching hospital,
we are privileged to provide you with the most advanced cancer therapies.
Parkland and UT Southwestern Medical Center are National Cancer Institute Designation (NCI). The Designation is the gold standard in cancer research given to those institutions that are national leaders in research, treatment and education.
There are now 66 such centers in the U.S. Other designated centers in Texas are in Houston and San Antonio. An NCI Designation means patients can participate in early clinical trials testing new treatments. And it means you and your loved ones can get the care they need close to home.
