Homeless Outreach

The HOMES program is a combined effort between Parkland Health & Hospital System and the City of Dallas. This program provides medical and social work services to both the pediatric and adult population within the city of Dallas.

Clinics are held using two medical mobile units. Each unit is equipped with clerical and nursing stations, two examination rooms, a class D pharmacy and restroom. Clinic schedules vary per site but most of them are held weekly or biweekly.

Pediatric services:

• Well child check-ups
• Immunizations
• Acute care
• Referrals to other programs and services (specialty clinics, housing, etc)
• Social services

Adult services:

• Health maintenance evaluations
• Immunizations
• STD and HIV screening
• Acute and chronic disease clinics
• Diabetes Education Program
