The mission of Dallas Healthy Start (DHS) is to improve perinatal outcomes, reduce infant mortality, and pre-term (low birthweight) births by decreasing health disparities in targeted areas of Dallas.

Models & Service Area
The core service models of DHS are Outreach and Client Recruitment, Case Management
and Interconceptional Care, Depression Screening/Referral, Health Education
and Consortium. The DHS service
area includes six zip codes that cover the southwest southeast (75210,
75215), south central (75224), east (75227, 75228) and southwest (75237)
areas of Dallas County.
