This program focuses on the development and management of a clinical practice in various ambulatory care settings. Emphasis will be on application of clinical skills to enhance multi-disciplinary and pharmacist-managed patient care. The resident will have the opportunity to gain experience in the following clinics: Internal Medicine, Community Oriented Primary Care Centers, HIV, Renal Transplant, Oncology, Asthma, Anticoagulation, Cardiology, and Lipid. The resident will participate in precepting Pharm.D. students and Pharmacy Practice Residents. The resident will also complete a major project to be presented at an annual resident conference and state meeting. A full service medical library and a Drug Information Center are available on the main campus.

On-site Interviews
Candidates for on-site interviews will be determined by telephone interviews. From the telephone interviews, we will select candidates to visit our facilities at Parkland. Our on-site interview process at Parkland begins at 8:30am and concludes around 4pm. As part of the interview process, we are asking our candidates to prepare a 15 minute presentation for members of our Residency Advisory Council.
