Career Panels In an effort to combat the nationwide shortage of minority healthcare professionals, Parkland Health & Hospital System has made a commitment to partner with local school systems in order to expose young people to various healthcare careers. In accordance with the Minority Recruitment Plan as approved by the Parkland Board of Managers, several initiatives have been implemented that will hopefully enable us to achieve these goals. Minority Allied Health providers and professionals speak with high school freshman, sophomore, juniors and seniors about their career, the preparation required as well as any personal information that the individual may want to share. The panels have been very successful because it allows students to hear first hand about a variety of professions and ask questions following the presentation. To arrange for a career panel to visit your high school, please Contact Us.
