Our patient-centered HIV care is safe and comprehensive. Parkland’s dedicated HIV staff supports our patients from the beginning through advanced stages of the disease, including emergency services and home health care. We also provide support and services to family and friends of our patients.
Patients can get primary care and specialty services at the HIV/AIDS clinics in Bluitt-Flowers Health Center, deHaro-Saldivar Health Center and Southeast Dallas Health Center. Some HIV services are also offered at Parkland’s other health centers. All clinics can be reached by public transportation.
Because patients with HIV have special needs and often take special medicines, Parkland has pharmacists who focus on medications for HIV patients at Parkland’s Amelia Court Pharmacy. Pharmacists talk with patients about the best way to take HIV medications and how to handle side effects. Patients may turn in new prescriptions and request refills at this location.
