Parkland’s Patient Financial Services staff is located at the hospital and at Parkland's community clinics to help you pay for health care. Services include:
We help patients find financial assistance. We help find programs to help you pay for your medical treatment, depending on your needs, through programs such as Medicaid, Medicare and other funding sources, like the crime victims’ fund, Parkland HEALTHplus, Parkland Community Health Plan and Health Insurance Marketplace. We can help you complete the application process. We also have Medicaid staff at the hospital and many of our clinics.
If you need help paying for your services, we have different options for paying your bill. We will tell you how the payment process works and your role in paying for your medical treatment.
We can help you review your insurance benefits. Whether you have Medicare, Medicaid, Workers’ Compensation or a health insurance plan such as Aetna or Cigna, our staff can verify your coverage and benefits. This can help you plan for continuing or follow up health care.
We can help if you have a question about a statement you received from us or your insurance.
Let us help you. To help figure out what programs you qualify for, your financial counselor will need information about you. Please bring items noted on our checklist: (English | Espanol).
When you bring your paperwork, we will determine what financial assistance program you may qualify for. If you do not bring your information, you will have to pay for non-emergency care and medicines when you see a doctor.
