We live in a house that yesterday built.

The legacy of Parkland is sustained with bricks of memories; both fond and less pleasant recollections serving as mortar holding each person's hindsight closely to the next. Because of the past contribution of each individual, the strong structure that is Parkland grows taller and more grounded each day.
Without the firm foundation poured by the Parkland family of previous generations, this health system would be of pale comparison to the strong pillar of health care it is today. The hard work, dedication and stories of Parkland gone-by can still be seen and heard in the wise eyes and vibrant tales of longtime and retired members of the Parkland family.

Yesterday, they were the nurses, the doctors, the administrators and the auxiliary staff who drafted the plan of what Parkland should be, and began construction on what Parkland would be. Today, they are the force behind the continuation of a mission long engrained in the consciousness of each present day employee.
