On March 10, Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s executive order went into effect, allowing businesses to re-open and ending the state-wide mask mandate. This order allows businesses and other establishments to continue to require employees and visitors to follow additional hygiene measures, including the wearing of a face covering. For your safety and our staff, Parkland will continue our policies requiring masks for everyone inside our facilities. Visitors who refuse to wear a mask will be asked to leave.
Wearing face covering is one more thing we can do to protect one another from COVID-19. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends wearing a cloth face covering when you cannot keep six feet between you and others in public, like at work, a grocery store or a pharmacy. In addition to wearing a mask, continue to wash your hands frequently and practicing social distancing.
