If you are new oncology patient, you may be very nervous about what to expect. We want your first visit to feel smooth and comfortable.
We ask that you arrive to your appointment at least 30 minutes before the appointment time to register. In order to avoid a longer wait time, please do not arrive more than 30 minutes before your appointment.
Plan to spend quite some time with us as we will need to do a detailed visit which includes:

- Meet with the nurse navigator to get an overview of your cancer care and needs.
- Visit with any other support services such as the social worker or registered dietitian nutritionist.
Good communication is very important to make sure we address all of your concerns.
Here are some tips to help you with your first appointment:
- Write down any questions you have ahead of time to make sure they are answered the best we can.
- Bring one family member or friend to help participate or take notes
- Be open and honest so that we can better help provide resources and specific care to you
- Take a deep breath, this is a big step in your cancer journey that can make a plan to move ahead.
