Who can get the COVID-19 vaccine?
All adults can now receive the COVID-19 vaccine in Texas. The youngest age allowed is different for each type of vaccine. If you have questions about the different types of vaccines, how they work and who can take them, please visit www.CDC.gov/CovidVaccines.
How do I get the vaccine at Parkland?
Thank you for your interest in getting the COVID-19 vaccine. It will protect yourself and the people around you. Follow these steps to register and book your appointment to receive the COVID-19 vaccine at Parkland.
STEP 1: Parkland MyChart
You will first need to log in or create an account for Parkland MyChart, our online patient portal.
This will allow you to schedule an appointment to get a vaccine.
If you have forgotten your username for MyChart, click here for username help. If you do not know your MyChart password, click here to reset your password.

STEP 2: Schedule your appointment
To schedule your vaccine appointment at Parkland:
- Log in to Parkland MyChart
- Click SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT
- Select COVID VACCINE as your reason for scheduling an appointment
- Following the instructions to pick the location, the day and time that works best for you.

Call the Dallas County COVID-19 Vaccine Registration Hotline at 1-855-466-8639, seven days a week, 7 days a week, 7 a.m.–7 p.m. Registration help is available in English and Spanish.
No appointment needed at Ellis Davis Field House
Anyone over the age of 16 can get a COVID-19 vaccine without an appointment between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday – Saturday at Parkland’s drive-through location at Ellis Davis Field House, 9191 S. Polk St., Dallas, 75232.
Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Ellis Davis Field House is open to those with an appointment from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday – Saturday. The location is closed on Sundays.
Are the COVID-19 vaccines safe?
The U.S. vaccine safety system makes sure that all vaccines, including the recently FDA-authorized COVID-19 vaccines, are safe. The clinical trials for both vaccines studied thousands of people and showed that the vaccine is safe. Learn more about the vaccines and their safety at www.cdc.gov/CovidVaccines.
Should I get the COVID-19 vaccine?
There is no way to know how COVID-19 will affect you, even if you are not at risk of severe complications. If you get COVID-19, you also may spread the disease to friends, family and loved ones, even if you don't feel sick. The more people who get the vaccination, the more we can protect our loved ones and the quicker we can get back to a more normal life including visiting family and friends, attending worship services, going to restaurants and other activities.
