Parkland Connect is Parkland’s new telehealth service that allows patients to connect with a provider from any location using any mobile device or computer.
As demand for primary care and community-based care increases, Parkland providers are employing technology as a way to create more access to needed care services.
Rather than require patients to travel to one of 12 clinics located throughout the county, these remote healthcare opportunities leverage new technologies to allow providers the ability to “meet” with the patient, assess and analyze, diagnosis and treat patients from any location.
Patients use Parkland MyChart, the online medical record system, to use a video chat feature that creates a virtual, private appointment for routine healthcare needs, such as colds, coughs, rash and other common conditions.
