Parkland’s Geriatric team provides many services for patients age 65 and older. Our Geriatric staff understands the special medical needs for seniors and is specially trained to manage their health concerns and help them stay healthy.
Parkland has geriatric primary care clinic locations across Dallas County so that seniors age 65 and older can get health care near their homes. It also helps with transportation problems and connects them to support services in their community.
Geriatric care includes routine health checkups, sick care and management of chronic diseases. Our doctors, nurse practitioners and nurses specialize in care for older adults. We also assign team members to help older adult patients and their caregivers with extra care and connection to community services.

Senior HouseCalls provides primary medical care to homebound patients age 65 and older. Care is provided in the patient’s home where staff can best work with family members and community resources, like home health care, as needed.

The Senior HouseCalls care team includes doctors, a nurse practitioner, social worker, nurse and chaplain. Help from a clinical pharmacist, dietitian and financial counselor can also be arranged.
