Learning you are expecting a baby is an exciting time. At Parkland, we want to guide you every step of the way. Our Women’s and Infants Specialty Health staff will help you prepare for the changes ahead.
You and your baby’s health is our top priority. Prenatal care keeps both mom and baby healthy. More than 97 percent of women who have their babies at Parkland also receive prenatal care here.
Prenatal care is available at many locations throughout Dallas. Through this program, you can see the same provider for your prenatal care, post-partum visit and family planning consultation. Our women’s health educators will help guide you with information on nutrition and exercise.
Prenatal services may include sonograms of your baby as it grows, help managing medical conditions during pregnancy and tips for keeping you and your baby happy and healthy. You can schedule prenatal appointments at our Women’s Health Centers located throughout Dallas County.
Parkland’s Nurse Line is available 24 hours a day. Please call 214.266.8777 for questions or concerns about your pregnancy.
Parkland offers educational classes for families expecting a baby, including breastfeeding classes by our certified lactation consultants. All education classes are offered in English and Spanish. See Parenting Class Information or call 214.590.BEBE or 214.590.2323.

A Registered Nurse works one-on-one with mother during prenatal care and makes home visits until the child turns two years old. Learn more about Nurse-Family Partnership or to see if you qualify.
Parkland has programs for pregnant women that can help pay for your medical care.
