The bilingual print edition of To Your Health is distributed to Parkland’s health centers and to community partners throughout Dallas County. You can also sign up to have these tips emailed to you each month.

Masks required at all Parkland locations

On March 10, Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s executive order went into effect, allowing businesses to re-open and ending the state-wide mask mandate. For your safety and our staff, Parkland will continue our policies requiring masks for everyone inside our facilities. |

COVID-19 vaccines are effective at protecting you and your family from getting COVID-19. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) people who have received their final dose of the COVID-19 vaccine can start to do some things that they had stopped doing because of the pandemic. |

Sexually transmitted infections awareness Month

April is sexually transmitted infections (STIs) Awareness Month. Cases of STIs continue to increase nationally and locally. According to, The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), estimates show that there are about 20 million new infections in the United States each year, costing the American health care system nearly $16 billion in direct medical costs. |
