Parkland’s Patient Financial Services staff is located at the cashier's office on the first floor of the hospital and at Parkland's community clinics to help you pay for health care. Services include:
Financial counseling
We help patients find financial assistance. We help find programs to help you pay for your medical treatment, depending on your needs, through programs such as the Health Insurance Marketplace (ACA), Medicaid, Medicare and other funding sources, like the crime victims’ fund, Parkland Financial Assistance
and the Parkland Community Health Plan. We can help you with the application process. We also have Medicaid staff at the hospital and many of our clinics.

Payment plans
If you need help paying for your services, we have different options for paying your bill. We will tell you how the payment process works and your role in paying for your medical treatment.
Paying online
At Parkland Health & Hospital System , we understand that everyone has busy lives and schedules. To help with that busy schedule, we have developed an online Patient eBilling website. Paying your bills online is quick and easy. Plus, you can enroll to view your bills online, change your address or update your insurance information.
Insurance verification
We can help you review your insurance benefits. Whether you have Medicare, Medicaid, Workers’ Compensation or a health insurance plan such as Aetna or Cigna, our staff can verify your coverage and benefits. This can help you plan for continuing or follow up health care.
CHIP application
For patients without insurance or funding for pregnancy and childbirth healthcare services, you can apply for coverage through the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
Make an appointment
Let us help you. To help figure out what programs you qualify for, your financial counselor will need information about you. Please bring items noted on our checklist: (English | Español).
When you bring your paperwork, we will determine what financial assistance program you may qualify for. If you do not bring your information, you will have to pay for non-emergency care and medicines when you see a doctor.
